Margin Call - Good Faith Violation

If you are issued a Good Faith Violation (GF), please be aware that this can only occur in a CASH account and will be generated if you sell a security that was afforded with funds that had not settled yet. There is nothing that can be done to meet this type of call. If an account is charged with 5 GF calls in a rolling 12 month period, it will be Closed. You may want to consider converting your CASH account to a MARGIN account where you can trade with unsettled funds and GF calls do not apply. Please contact us for details.
